The Rowland Institute was founded by Edwin H. Land in 1980 as The Rowland
Institute for Science, conceived to advance science in a wide variety of fields. In 2002 the Institute merged with Harvard and created the Rowland Fellowship program to support independent early-career experimentalists to accomplish high-risk, groundbreaking research across the natural sciences & engineering. We moved to main campus in summer 2024 and we are thrilled to invite you to join us at a minisymposium to meet the Rowland community.
